The search is on for the best entrepreneurial project in textile innovation
TecnoCampus and Mataró City Council, in collaboration with Eurecat and ASEGEMA and with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council, are launching the sixth edition of the Reimagine Textile Awards. The initiative aims to promote and support business projects that contribute to transforming the textile sector through innovation, technology, and sustainability.
The awards are open to entrepreneurs with a business idea, as well as companies established from January 1, 2023 onwards. Projects must have a direct application in the textile sector and include innovative, technological elements or approaches aimed at reducing environmental impact.
This edition features a single category: the Reimagine Textile Innovation+ Award, designed to recognize the project that brings the greatest value to the textile industry at any point in its value chain.
The call seeks initiatives that incorporate one or more of the following areas: innovation in products, materials, or processes; digitalization and artificial intelligence applied to industry; new business models; or sustainability and circularity strategies within the value chain.
This category includes projects that innovate in fabrics, manufacturing processes, machinery, distribution, commercialization, or organizational models. Initiatives that develop new textile products, introduce disruptive designs, or propose solutions applicable to sectors such as fashion, healthcare, automotive, or industry are also eligible.
The winning project will receive a cash prize of €5,500. It will also benefit from a 50% discount on a coworking space at the Reimagine Textile Incubator or an equivalent discount for access to a private incubation office in the TCM2 building for one year.
The award package also includes free access to a fully equipped photography studio, technological advisory services, support in securing funding for R&D projects, mentoring, training, sector-specific information, technology watch services, and a 100% discount on ASEGEMA membership fees for one year.
Projects ranked second and third will receive runner-up recognition (Reimagine Textile 2026 Accésits). Although they will not receive a cash prize, they will have access for one year to mentoring services and the resources of the Reimagine Textile HUB to continue developing their initiatives.
Applications can be submitted until July 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. To participate, applicants must submit an executive summary of the project (maximum seven pages) and a presentation video of up to three minutes.
The selection process will take place in two phases. In the first phase, a technical committee will select up to ten finalist projects based on the submitted documentation, particularly the executive summary and the video.
In the second phase, finalists will present their project to the evaluation committee through an elevator pitch of up to five minutes. The jury will assess the innovative nature of the product or service, environmental impact, market orientation, marketing strategy, economic and financial viability, regional impact, and the capabilities of the project team.
The final results will be announced in October 2026 during the Reimagine Textile Day event.
If you have a startup, a business idea, or an innovative solution with the potential to transform the textile sector, apply to the Reimagine Textile Awards 2026 and connect your project with a specialized ecosystem in innovation, entrepreneurship, and business growth.
