Aracne, a new spin-off specialized in predictive systems and fabric quality control.
Eurecat, through Reimagine Textile, is collaborating with the textile machinery manufacturer Canmartex to design a new machine that predicts imperfections occurring in circular knitting machines, caused by the condition of critical components such as needles and sinkers.
Aracne reduces production defects by more than 60%, decreasing material waste during the manufacturing process and therefore reducing environmental impact.
It also monitors fabric drop during manufacturing to detect defects occurring in real time, caused by issues such as yarn problems, stains, or holes, among others.
As a result of this collaboration, the spin-off Aracne was established in 2023. In 2024, Aracne was recognized as the winner in the Green Digitalization category at the European Digital Innovation Hubs Awards.
