Finalists of the Reimagine Textile 2018 program

Reimagine Textile 2018 entrepreneurship program with 7 finalist projects

The Reimagine Textile 2018 entrepreneurship program concludes with 7 finalist projects that will soon launch their textile-fashion innovation products on the market. They have successfully completed the high-performance entrepreneurship program and transformed their projects into real business opportunities.

In the first phase, they underwent intensive training where they were guided in shaping their business model with the help of industry experts. In the second phase, they received personalized and specialized mentoring to define their launch strategy and viability plan. They also had access to workshops and masterclasses on textiles and innovative production led by technical specialists.

With the program completed and the projects launched, all participants will remain connected to the Reimagine Textile Entrepreneurship Program, receiving ongoing support for their consolidation and growth. The goal is to create and strengthen a network of new innovative companies in the Catalan textile sector.

Reimagine Textile is an initiative funded by the Government of Catalonia, the Barcelona Provincial Council, and the European Union; and co-led by the TecnoCampus Foundation and Eurecat within the framework of the Territorial Specialization and Competitiveness Projects (PECT).

The projects that have emerged with the support of the entrepreneurship program are:

  • ZER COLLECTION: urban fashion design for men and women using 3D printing technology to eliminate waste generation. This project has won numerous awards for its perfect combination of technological innovation, trend, and sustainability.
  • ACONKAGUA: women’s watersport, fitness, and lifestyle clothing—exclusive, comfortable, and high-quality—made from sustainable fabrics, with local production and a circular economy approach.
  • KÁHUARAU: exclusive footwear and accessories made with a self-developed organic fabric, featuring artistic and nature-inspired designs and materials. The production process is socially responsible and environmentally friendly.
  • THE RUNNING REPUBLIC: a sustainable technical sportswear brand using recycled fabrics and plastics. This new sports brand also offers the possibility of applying custom designs.
  • VIÓ EXCLUSIVE WEAR: technical sportswear for padel and tennis for men and women, made with next-generation materials and original designs.
  • FREE FORM: adaptive and inclusive fashion for people with temporary or permanent physical disabilities.
  • HYGGE BAGS: production of bags and accessories for individuals and the home using recycled fabrics and other materials such as inner tubes and advertising banners, with a strong focus on design and usability.

In 2019, TecnoCampus will launch a new edition of the Entrepreneurship Program and will also open a new Reimagine Textile incubator to host startups in the sector that embody innovation and competitiveness in the new Catalan textile industry.

The companies hosted in the new incubator will also benefit from a support program and access to resources for their national and international growth.
