The TecnoCampus Conference Centre hosted a new edition of Reimagine Textile Day, the flagship event promoted by the Reimagine Textile programme, created to foster innovation in the textile sector. During the event, the winners of the Reimagine Textile Awards 2025 were announced, recognising the most outstanding projects for their contribution to innovation in the fields of business model, sustainability and circular economy, functional textiles, and Innovation Plus. <\/p>\n
The event, promoted by Matar\u00f3 City Council, TecnoCampus, and the Eurecat technology centre, has established itself as a meeting point for professionals, companies, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders in the textile sector \u2014 a space to discover the latest trends and share experiences with leading experts.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s programme combined keynote speeches from innovation experts, a round table discussion, the presentation of a business case, and, finally, the Reimagine Textile Awards 2025 ceremony.<\/p>\n
The event featured the participation of Sergi Morales D\u00edaz, Deputy Mayor of Matar\u00f3 City Council and Councillor for Employment, Enterprise, and Social Economy, who highlighted the key role of the textile sector in Maresme, representing 21% of the county\u2019s GDP. Meanwhile, Francesc Santasusana Riera, Second Vice-President of Eurecat, emphasised the role of the technology centre as an innovation driver, highlighting its collaboration with different stakeholders in the sector and the technological capabilities and textile laboratories available at the centre. <\/p>\n
Francesc Casas, President of ASEGEMA, also spoke, highlighting the need to increase textile production in the region and stressing the importance of attracting companies willing to invest in Maresme.<\/p>\n
Regarding trends, THE POST FIBER focused its presentation on transforming textile waste into new products, one of the sector\u2019s main opportunities. Artificial intelligence also played a prominent role in a debate on the use of generative AI, featuring representatives from ARTISO AI and TRENDIMENSIONAL. <\/p>\n
As the Business Case, the event\u2019s Gold sponsor, Bobo Choses, presented its commitment to recycled cotton in a talk delivered by Cecilia Guar\u00e1s, the brand\u2019s Sustainability Director.<\/p>\n
In the area of business strategies, David Garcia, Executive Director of MODACC \u2013 Catalan Fashion and Textile Cluster, highlighted digitalisation as one of the key drivers for the sector\u2019s competitiveness.<\/p>\n

Revalorises sheep\u2019s wool through design and art, transforming it into functional and sustainable products that provide warmth and wellbeing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Best Functional Textile Proposal: Rita Sonder
Develops sustainable and durable technical leggings specifically designed for female climbers, addressing key challenges of adaptability, performance, and durability.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
Innovation Plus Award: New Pasture
Recognised for the added value it brings to society in the fields of innovation and sustainability.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
During the event, a special mention was also given to the White Jacket x YesWeSail! project for its contribution to society and social impact, promoting autonomy and inclusion for people with visual impairments.<\/p>\n
