Reimagine Textile, the business innovation program aimed at the textile sector and promoted by the Matar\u00f3 City Council, TecnoCampus, and the Eurecat technology center, offers entrepreneurs, startups, and textile companies new incubation facilities <\/strong>and a Textile Fabrication and Prototyping Laboratory <\/strong>(FabLAB) to foster the creation of new businesses, test new business models, and prototype innovative products.<\/p>

These new facilities create an innovation ecosystem that provides the technological environment, knowledge, connections, and funding opportunities needed to support the development of new opportunities, both for young companies and for established businesses open to innovation and sustainability.<\/p>

The Reimagine Textile incubator <\/strong>offers six growth drivers: \u201cplug & play\u201d <\/em>facilities equipped with the necessary technologies for young companies in the sector; specialized mentoring; training focused on key 21st-century factors such as the digital and green transformation of the sector; networking and connections within the textile innovation ecosystem at both national and international levels; visibility in relevant media within the industry; and access to funding opportunities to support their growth.<\/p>

The Reimagine Textile FabLAB<\/strong> for experimentation and prototyping is located on the ground floor of the Eurecat Matar\u00f3 headquarters, directly connected to the Reimagine Textile incubator, the university, and the Eurecat technology center. This combination makes the space a valuable opportunity for users to access expert technological guidance and discover opportunities to develop business ideas.<\/strong><\/p>

The FabLAB space offers users a fully equipped cutting and sewing area, digital fabrication tools such as sublimation, laser cutting, embroidery, and 3D printing, as well as a projection room with a capacity for twelve people. In addition to professional equipment and expert staff, the FabLAB also provides access to catalogs of innovative and sustainable materials and connections with trusted suppliers such as Coats<\/a>, the world\u2019s leading industrial thread company. \u201cInnovation is one of our strategic pillars at Coats. Currently, the Reimagine Textile incubator hosts 15 startups in the high-performance program and 11 in the incubation program: Zer Era, Heggy Bags, The Running Republic, Evix, Mimosa, Julia G. Escrib\u00e0, Leser Yoga, Melic, Virtual Showroom, Laxa Ib\u00e8rica, Neon, Redpanty, Brauvoir, Pro-Stetic, Owl, infinit Denim, Infinite Athletic, Newex, Hemp & Love, Mambo Hungle, Nia Organics, Uma Intimates, Mushi, Mumu Knit, New Elephant, and Helmet Workwear.<\/p>

About Reimagine Textile<\/strong><\/p>

Reimagine Textile is the business innovation program aimed at the textile sector, promoted by the Matar\u00f3 City Council, TecnoCampus, and the Eurecat technology center, within the framework of the Territorial Specialization and Competitiveness Project (PECT) of Matar\u00f3 Maresme.<\/p>

The PECT includes the participation of the Calella City Council, co-financing from the ERDF Operational Program of Catalonia 2014\u20132020 and the Barcelona Provincial Council, and the collaboration of the Maresme County Council, the Association of Knitwear Entrepreneurs of Matar\u00f3 and the Region (ASEGEMA), and the city councils of Arenys de Mar, Argentona, Cabrera de Mar, Caldes d\u2019Estrac, Canet de Mar, Dosrius, Malgrat de Mar, Premi\u00e0 de Dalt, Premi\u00e0 de Mar, Sant Pol de Mar, Sant Vicen\u00e7 de Montalt, Santa Susanna, Tei\u00e0, Vilassar de Mar, and Vilassar de Dalt.<\/p>

Led by the TecnoCampus Foundation and the Eurecat technology center, Reimagine Textile has been a strategic initiative since 2018 with the goal of growing and reinventing the textile sector in Catalonia through innovation, technology, and sustainability.
