Joana Meyer receives an innovation award from the Fundación Textil Algodonera

From Reimagine Textile, we congratulate designer Joana Meyer, Reimaginer 2025, who has received an innovation award from the Fundación Textil Algodonera.

Joana’s project explores the potential of 3D-printed textiles, an emerging field that combines creativity, technology, and sustainability. Her research focuses on developing TPU-printed materials inspired by traditional techniques such as knitting, macramé, and tulle work, as well as digital design processes aimed at zero waste. In addition, Joana has developed the technical expertise needed to transform these materials into fully wearable pieces.

Joana has also completed our High-Performance Program, where she was able to accelerate the development of her project thanks to expert guidance and access to advanced technical resources. This experience has strengthened her innovative vision and the impact of her work.

This award highlights the emerging talent and innovative capacity that characterize the projects arising from our community. At Reimagine Textile, we will continue to support Joana’s trajectory, as she keeps bringing a disruptive perspective to the future of new materials and the textile sector.
