Reimagine Textile is the business innovation program aimed at the textile sector of the Maresme promoted by the City of Mataró, the Tecnocampus and Eurecat, within the framework of the Territorial Specialization and Competitiveness Project (PECT) of Mataró Maresme.

The PECT has the participation of the City of Calella, the co-financing of the FEDER of Catalonia 2014-2020 and the Diputació de Barcelona, ​​and the collaboration of the Consell Comarcal del Maresme, the Association of Entrepreneurs of Genders of point of Mataró and Region (ASEGEMA) and the town councils of Arenys de Mar, Argentona, Cabrera de Mar, Caldes d’Estrac, Canet de Mar, Dosrius, Malgrat de Mar, Premià de Dalt, Premia de Mar, Sant Pol de Mar, Sant Vicenç de Montalt, Santa Susanna, Teià, Vilassar de Mar and Vilassar de Dalt.

Goals

The Reimagine Textile presents 4 main objectives:
  • To spread and promote the textile productive capacity of the territory in order to consolidate the textile cluster of the Maresme.
  • Capture demands for the manufacture of value-added products in design and the creation of new jobs with technical specialization and value added.
  • Incorporate technology and innovation into the business management of SMEs.
  • Internationalization of innovative textile SMEs.

To whom is it addressed?

Reimagine Textile is an initiative aimed at:
  • Companies of any size.
  • Designers, workshops, commercial agents and organizations.
  • New companies of technical fabrics.
  • Other agents in the textile sector.

About PECT Mataró-Maresme

  • Project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union under the FEDER Operational Program of Catalonia 20014-2020, and by the Diputació de Barcelona.
  • The PECT are projects that seek to improve the competitiveness of a territory through specialization and innovation in existing sectors of activity or in emerging activities and with increasing and real force in the territory. The porjects are framed within the territorial strategy of the Generalitat RIS3CAT strategy of research and smart innovation and specialization in Catalonia.

Eurecat, the Technological Center of Cataunya is a beneficiary of the PECT. Participates in the project Reimagine Textile leading the operations Maresme Innova – Tech & Talent, for the creation of an innovative ecosystem of training initiatives and technology knowledge transfer, and the Impuls Reimagine Textile, which aims to create spaces and develop the Reimagine Textile brand.

The TechnoCampus Foundation, the manager of the TecnoCampus Mataró-Maresme science and innovation park and the three centers that make up it, is the partner entity that is the beneficiary of the PECT. It is responsible for the operations of the Reimagine Textile Reimagine Entrepreneurship and Talent project, to promote talent, entrepreneurship and the incubation of projects related to textile design and innovation.

The City Council of Calella is a beneficiary partner of the PECT. Participate in the Sports and Tourism project leading the CALELLA / MARESME SPORT CITY LAB operation in order to promote the municipality into an urban innovation innovation laboratory using the calendar of sports competitions of the city and international events programmed in the municipality.
